Vocabulary

Topic vocabulary at B1, taught in context and reused across the unit

Grammar

A clear introduction to each new structure, then practice in real tasks

Sentence frames

Opinions and reasons

Tasks where students say what they think and explain why

Reading

Longer texts with comprehension questions that need real thinking

Listening

Longer audio at B1 with questions that check detail, not just gist

Writing

Emails, notes, articles, and stories, built up step by step

Assessments

Mid-unit checks and end-of-unit tests to track progress

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Level 5 right for my students?

Level 5 is a B1 course for students aged 9 to 13. It fits students who can already hold a simple conversation and read a short text on their own, and who are ready to give opinions and explain their reasons. If they're still building that base, start with Level 4.

Do I need to prepare anything?

No. Open the lesson and teach. The vocabulary, grammar, reading, and speaking tasks are already built in, and each lesson fills 30 to 50 minutes depending on your pacing.

Can I use Level 5 for PET prep?

Yes. The comprehension and writing tasks use the same formats as the Cambridge B1 Preliminary (PET) exam, so students get used to the exam tasks as they go. It also works as a regular English course if your students aren't sitting the exam.

The lessons are in American English. Is that a problem for PET?

No. Cambridge exams cover the main varieties of English, American included, so your students won't be marked down for using it. They just need to stay consistent in their writing.

Do students need their own account?

No. You teach from your own account. Yearly members also get a preview link for each lesson, so you can send students a look at the lesson on their own device without sharing your login.

Which platforms do the lessons work on?

Any platform where you can share your screen. Teachers use them on Zoom, ClassIn, KoalaGo, and Tencent Meeting, and they work on a classroom smartboard too.

Are more units coming?

Yes. Two units are live now and new ones are added regularly. Your subscription covers everything as it goes up, with nothing extra to buy.

Level 5 is the B1 stage of the Easy Peasy Learning core curriculum, an American English course built for teachers of children and young learners aged 9 to 13. Each unit takes one everyday topic, such as friendships or sports and hobbies, and works through it across 8 interactive lessons and 2 assessments. Students build topic vocabulary, refine their grammar, read longer texts, and learn to give opinions and explain their reasons rather than answering in short phrases. Every lesson comes with a workbook for homework, so the language carries on after class.

The reading, listening, writing, and speaking tasks use the same formats as the Cambridge B1 Preliminary (PET) exam, which makes Level 5 a fit for exam prep as well as regular English classes. Writing covers emails, notes, and articles, built up step by step so students know what each task expects. Lessons run in your browser with no printing or prep, take 30 to 50 minutes depending on your pacing, and work in online classes on Zoom, ClassIn, KoalaGo, and Tencent Meeting, or on a classroom smartboard. Yearly members can also send students a preview link to look through a lesson on their own device.

New units are added regularly, and your subscription covers them as they go up. If your students aren't ready for B1 yet, Level 4 covers A2 and builds toward the Cambridge A2 Key (KET) exam. You can also browse all lessons for speaking, debate, and exam practice material to use alongside the core course.
