Available with a yearly membershipIn this beginner phonics lesson, young learners are introduced to two new letters of the alphabet: Dd and Ee. For each letter, students meet the uppercase and lowercase forms side by side, practise tracing them, and sort mixed capital and small letters into the right groups. They then learn the letter sound — D says /d/ and E says /e/ — and sing along to the Super Simple ABCs letter song for each one.
Four new words are introduced per letter: dog, desk, duck and doll for Dd, and egg, elbow, elephant and envelope for Ee. Students match pictures to words, find the matching word, write the words, and join in with the Dd and Ee chants to hear the initial sound repeated in context. The lesson finishes with a mixed D-and-E practice round and an interactive game with Pip, where students tap the picture that starts with the target letter.
This is Lesson 3 in Level 1 of Phonics Easy Peasy, following on from the earlier letters of the alphabet.

Thanks for changing the phonics classes from the last time I used them 6 months ago, I think the sentences were way too complex for a lot of students at this stage. It’s now perfect!! 🙂
So happy that you like them!! I am updating all of them, hopefully will be up by the end of the month.
